Fund Raising!

Well we finally had our fund raising yard sale today. It went much better than I had anticipated. After a yard sale we usually have a ton of stuff left over that didn't sell and ultimately end up giving it to Good Will. Today, we only had 5 small boxes that we took to Good Will when it was all over. We made about $500-- give or take, most of the items sold were small priced things with an average price of a quarter. We really did have a ton of stuff that we sold! We managed to clear everything out of the garage and were able to put the cars back into it! You don't know how happy that made me and my mother! It has been months since we've been able to put the cars in the garage. I made all sorts of signs directing people into our subdivision and on to our house. Someone who evidently is a "pro" yard sale shopper commended me on having great directions to the house. I made a large poster also that had the "purpose" of the sale. I put some pictures on it of Tabitha. We received many congratulations and joy about the adoption, only one "so you're starting all over again"in that sad tone of voice---that comment mainly for Tim since he's the one with the grown children. One shopper shared that the small child who was with her was also adopted; that little girl who was only 3 years old put a dollar into our adoption donation jar! It was a good day for us!
