We got our PGN decree today! Boy does it take a lot of words to say: the birth mother gives up her baby for adoption and you nice people from the United States want to adopt her. It's OK with us and you can have her. Well, that's not exactly what it says, but that's kind of the gist. It is a nice letter with a pretty letter head and I'm going to put it in Tabitha's scrapbook. I'm still praying for a Thankgiving time pick up. It all depends on how quickly the birth certificate comes and they get the 2nd DNA done. It can be done in as little as a month, I've seen this kind of timeline from others who have recently adopted. We will just have to wait and see....and pray!

Excitement
We received our official "Out of PGN" letter. In reading our letter there is a part of it well, let me post the part of the letter that got me so excited:
4. If your child was born in Guatemala City, it usually takes longer for the new birth certificate to be issued than other in other cities/municipalities. If your child was not born in Guatemala City, birth certificates can be ready in as short as 2-3 days (Amatitlan) or could take longer.
You see that part that says the birth certificate can be ready in as short as 2-3 days (Amatitlan).......that is the town that Tabitha was born!!!
What that means is we may be travelling as soon as Thanksgiving to get our little girl!!!!! God is so good!

Finally, a sigh of relief!
We got a call from our case manager today. Actually we had to call her. Tim and I had gone out to get ice cream and stopped at the Christian Lifeway store looking for ideas for our Sunday School class tomorrow--we teach kindergarteners Sunday School. When we got home, my mother said: "Tammy called 3 times, you didn't take your phone with you and she said she has a question for you." I fumbled with the phone, I always have trouble dialing the phone when I'm excited. Tammy answered and asked if I was going to be at church tomorrow. I thought to myself, why is she asking me that? She then said, "I talked to Tabitha today, and she said she is ready to come home." At first I wasn't getting it, but then it dawned on me and I said, "So I'm guessing that we got out of PGN?" I didn't scream or cry, but I definitely was excited! Thank you Jesus! We can finally breathe a big sigh of relief! Tabitha will be home soon!

Happy 9 month Birthday
Today is our little girl's 9 month birthday! Happy Birthday Tabitha! It is also her grandmother's (my mother's) birthday! I wish that you could be home today to celebrate your Grandmother's birthday, but I guess that wasn't in God's plan. Hopefully we will have many more birthdays to celebrate with her.
I am feeling like good news will come any day now! Please keep those prayers going!

Update
The update that we received on our case is "we're still PGN". The update that I'd like to share with you is about our Children's minister. She had her procedure done a week ago. She was at church this past Sunday and said she was feeling fine. She said that they scraped the lesion off of her liver and it was gone. Praise be to God! Let's pray that this cancer stays gone forever!

12 weeks, 3 days---as far as we know
Not much to report. No new news about our case. It's been 12 weeks, 3 days as far as we know. We're still in PGN. I'll post more after we get an update. Until then, please keep praying. Dear Lord, we'd like our little girl home, please.
